Golden Roastery might just be one of the most delightful hidden gems we’ve come across recently—and if you haven’t visited yet, consider this your official sign. Located in Houston and known for its viral Dubai chocolate strawberry cups, this spot is packed with all the internet-famous treats you’ve seen on your feed and probably saved for later.

We finally made the trip—and yes, the Dubai chocolate strawberries live up to the hype. Creamy, chocolatey, and beautifully layered, they’re just as photogenic as they are satisfying. But Golden Roastery is more than just a place for one viral treat. It’s a full experience. Their shelves are stocked with unique Middle Eastern sweets, snacks, spices, and drinks. From the viral mango and peach-shaped ice creams to the adorable marzipan fruits that look almost too good to eat, there’s something new (and delicious) around every corner.

We had a blast sampling our way through the menu. The Dubai chocolate crepes were warm, decadent, and a sweet tooth’s dream. The pistachio ice cream was a standout—creamy, nutty, and prepared right in front of you! For something a little extra? The egg waffle and pistachio cold brew were so delicious. And of course, you can’t leave without trying their Kanafa. Served warm and gooey with just the right balance of cheese and syrup! It may have been our favorite of the bunch.

The vibe here is part café, part specialty market, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful if you're not sure where to start. Plus, they’re growing—a second location is on the way, which we’re super excited about!
