Houston Coffee Shop Series No. 10

Updated: Jun 3, 2019

Happy November everyone! I am sooo happy we've been having some chilly days these past few weeks. It's been nice pulling out my sweaters and boots and not completely sweating while drinking hot coffee - haha!

This past month was so much fun! There were tons of new restaurants that we got to visit including Shun, Shell Shack, The Roastery, Slurp Ramen Factory, and Postino WineCafe, and we also got to visit some veteran restaurants that have been on the map for quite some time like Sammy's Wild Game Grill, Tacos a Go Go, and Armadillo Palace.

We're looking forward to another great month of exploring new restaurants for y'all. As always, please continue to send us recommendations! We take note of almost all the recommendations we receive and try our best to up the ones that excite our tastebuds.

Alright, I am pretty excited to share the three coffeeshops I visited this past month, one of which is brand-spanking-new! So here we go!

1111 E 11th St, Houston, TX 77009

The Good

  • "Every cup brings us closer to ending human trafficking." - Yes, the coffeeshop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created to raise awareness of trafficking issues in Houston

  • Serves up local Boomtown Coffee beans

  • Big open space that's great for groups

  • Offer yoga classes during the week that is donation based

  • Wifi available

  • Plenty of parking

The Bad

  • What's there not to love?

5106 Bissonnet St Suite C, Bellaire, TX 77401

The Good

  • First of its kind coffee shop in Bellaire!

  • Delicious housemade pastries and bites (try the quiche, it will change your life!)

  • Inside an HEB, so parking is plentiful

  • Wifi available

  • They have the BEST Donut Cappuccino (that gets bonus points for being super 'grammable)

The Bad

  • The seating space is pretty limited as it has more of a grab and go vibe.

2800 Kirby Drive b128, Houston, TX 77098

The Good

  • Cute little cafe with pretty marble top tables and bistro chairs

  • They are a cafe & creperie so they have different savory and sweet crepe options available as well as waffle cones

  • I got the Hazelnut Americano, and it was amazing!

  • Wifi available

  • Parking is plentiful at West Avenue River Oaks

The Bad

  • Pretty pricey but is expected for the location
