Buena Vista brings the soul of Cuba to the Heights with authentic cuisine, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere that make it one of the most exciting spots in town, especially on weekends. While they also have a Downtown location, we opted to check out the Heights spot, and it did not disappoint! This Cuban restaurant is all about authentic flavors and lively energy. Both were delivered in full!
Weekend nights are when the place truly comes alive, and we highly recommend visiting! Live Cuban music fills the space every Friday from 8 to 11 PM and Saturday from 9 to midnight, with performances by local talent. The rhythm and warmth of the music set the tone, and the addition of a traditional cigar roller on-site adds an old-school Havana touch you don’t see every day.
The menu leans classic—Ropa Vieja, Lechón, Sweet Plantains, and Cuban Black Beans, all delicious and comforting. Their cocktails pack a punch, and they even have their own spin on their signature Sangria Espanola.
They also know how to do daytime right. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, making it a great spot for a laid-back weekend start. And for a weekday wind-down, hit up their Happy Hour, Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM, with solid deals and the same lively feel.
For anyone looking to mix great food, great music, and a true Cuban vibe, Buena Vista is hard to beat. The energy is real, the plates are generous, and the soundtrack makes it impossible not to have a good time!
