Pacific Coast Tacos opened a new(ish) location in Montrose, and we finally checked it out! They boast a spacious patio, tropical-inspired interior, and a menu that draws from all over the Pacific Rim! The vibe hits as soon as you walk in—laid-back, colorful, and perfect for a casual hang or weekday dinner. There’s even a garage door that fully opens to the patio!
But what really caught our attention was the food. Everything is made from scratch daily—no freezers, no shortcuts. The tortillas are handmade every morning, and every dish features fresh herbs, vibrant produce, and clean proteins that make each plate feel just as good as it tastes.
The menu is playful and full of surprises. Sure, they’ve got the classics, but this isn’t your standard taco lineup. You’ll find shrimp, jerk chicken, Nashville hot chicken, Korean beef, and even octopus. Some tacos even come wrapped in jicama instead of a tortilla for a refreshing bite.
We were especially into the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco, which nailed the heat and crunch, and the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco, which had such good flavor and breading. The Yellowfin Ahi Tuna Nachos were also a hit—our table couldn’t stop munching on them.
Beyond tacos, the menu includes poke bowls, ceviche, loaded fries, and salads—so there’s something for every kind of craving. A little sauce is always appreciated, and Pacific Coast Tacos has everyone covered with their extensive hot sauce bar! There's also a full drinks menu if you’re in the mood for a cocktail or beer to pair with your meal.
Bonus tip: ask for the off-the-menu Greek Salmon Taco. It came with a full, perfectly cooked salmon fillet and a tangy sauce that pulled everything together. Definitely one of the best surprises of our visit!
