How We Did Rodeo Houston 2019

'Tis the season for RODEO HOUSTON! This past weekend we went to Rodeo Houston for the first time... this year! Truth be told, anyone who lives in Houston will be going more than once, if at all. We are no exception.

It may or may not come as a surprise, but we came to see Turnpike Troubadours and stayed for the food. In fact, we may have stayed for a little too much food. We were absolutely stuffed, but hey, that means we did the rodeo the right way, am I right?!

We got a lotttt of questions on Instagram (and at the rodeo) what we were eating and where to get it. So here is everything you need to know:

FRUITY PEBBLES FRIED SHRIMP ON A STICK

Where to find it: In the Carnival section, right near the "Green Lot"/Ride Sharing

FRIED OREOS AND FRIED CHEESECAKE

Stall name: Get Fried

TURKEY LEG

Stall name: Ranch House Meat Company

Where to find it: By "The Junction", right off "Rodeo Plaza"

PIZZA ON A STICK

Stall name: Swain's Fried Food

Where to find it: By "The Junction", along "Rodeo Plaza"

MANGO ON A STICK WITH CHAMOY AND SPICES

Stall name: Fruiteria Cano

Where to find it: Along "Circle Drive" by NRG Center

If you've never been to the rodeo before, here are a few other must-do's:

1. Enjoy the view from the ferris wheel.

2. Take a photo with the 25 foot Reliant boot.

3. Visit the petting zoo and Agventure.
